The Lawrence Music Alliance works to develop employment opportunities, grants and gigs to support our music community. We partner with presenting organizations, venues and the City of Lawrence in creating collaborative opportunities for artists to be paid in a variety of settings. 

 

We frequently team up with granting organizations locally, regionally and nationally to connect the Lawrence music community with a wide range of opportunities for gigs, grants and other sources of income.​

Subsidized Travel Support for Kansas Music Professionals

The Lawrence Music Alliance, with support from the Kansas Arts Commission, is offering subsidized travel support for Kansas artists, music industry workers, and cultural programmers attending music conferences, showcases, and festivals. This funding can help cover mileage and hotel costs—on a reimbursement basis—for those working to grow Kansas’ music ecosystem.

 

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with a deadline of the 15th of each month. Travel must happen by June 30, 2025.
