With 2026 now up and running, we're taking a moment to share some of the activities, events and impact of our work over the past year.
2025 was a big year for the Lawrence Music Alliance, and a great year for our music community.
Some highlights:
We inaugurated the first Music Business Month in March 2025 with a huge offering of programs.
We offered our most in-depth professional development training for musicians with Artist INC Express taking place in July 2025.
We launched quarterly Open Office Hours to address music copyright and publishing needs for Lawrence songwriters.
We completed a partnership with the Kansas Arts Commission to provide almost $10,000 worth of funding to support travel by artists pursuing music ecosystem training, programs and conferences.
Our biggest-yet MixMaster Music Conference & Fest took place with 100 participants, 30 acts across 5 venues and a full weekend connecting our music community.
